'Fuller House' Wins Choice Comedy TV Show at Teen Choice Awards
The Fuller House fans have spoken.
At Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, the Full House Netflix reboot knocked out the competition, besting long-standing fan favorites like Modern Family and Jane the Virgin, as well as Austin & Ally, Liv and Maddie, and Scream Queens.
Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber were in attendance as well as John Stamos and young actors Soni Bringas, Michael Campion, and Elias Harger.
Barber, who plays beloved ditz Kimmy Gibbler, was sure to express her enthusiasm.
"Hola, Teenaritos!" Barber said, followed by a hearty "Oh, Mylanta, I can't believe we won!" from Cameron Bure, and a sassy, "If you didn't vote for us, how rude!" from Sweetin.
Then Cameron Bure took the mic:
"Hey guys, we are here because of you, because you kept us on the air for 30 years, so we thank all of you," she said. "We thank your parents, we thank your grandparents.
"We want to thank our TV parents because we would not be here without John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier," she continued. "And it all started with one man, the creator of Full House and Fuller House, Jeff Franklin, thank you, we love you."
"We get to work every day with our best friends," Sweetin chimed in. "It's amazing."
Cameron Bure went on to thank the Fuller House fan base via Instagram.
While Sweetin documented her own behind-the-scenes shenanigans earlier in the night:
Congrats to the whole crew!
