Former Miss California Carrie Prejean may have lost her crown, but she's still making a place for herself in the spotlight. In the ultra-conservative spotlight, that is.
Yesterday, Regnery Publishing, a publishing house that bills itself as "the leading conservative publisher in America," announced that it has a book deal in the works with the former beauty queen. She'll release a memoir, Still Standing, come November.
Regnery president Marji Ross told E! Online, "It's not a book about gay marriage. It's not a book about traditional marriage...She wanted to write a book about freedom of speech and the double standard that seems to exist when someone speaks their mind and doesn't happen to be politically correct or consistent with what a crazy Hollywood celebrity thinks is the right answer."
Ross also claims that Prejean will not have a ghostwriter. Luckily, America has already seen a preview of Prejean's talents via her leaked emails. Anyone remember this lovely gem?
