Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed Are Engaged
It's a love story six months in the making.
Sometimes when you know, you know — especially in Hollywood. After six months of dating, Ian Somerhalder has reportedly popped the question to Nikki Reed, sources confirmed to E! Online.
The two were first linked over the summer, when they appeared together on several outings to the farmers' market. Since then, their love has blossomed on their social media accounts.
This will be the first marriage for Somerhalder, who dated Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev for three years before splitting in May 2013. Reed was previously married to American Idol alum Paul McDonald after meeting him at the premiere of Red Riding Hood in March 2011. They married that October. The pair officially announced their split in March 2014 (but said they'd been living apart for six months at the time) and their divorce was finalized earlier this month.
So far, the newly engaged couple has yet to comment on the big news. But we're sure their four-legged family is over the moon about it. Somerhalder and Reed have two adopted horses, Eagle and Millie, as well as a kitten named Sohalia and dogs Nietzsche and Enzo.
