'Harry Potter' Actor Daniel Radcliffe Receives a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood has officially issued its highest honor to The Boy Who Lived.
On Thursday, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Radcliffe, 26, shoved off his acting career with a bang, starring in all eight of the Harry Potter films as Harry himself. The actor grew up entrenched in the magical world, first adopting the pivotal role at age 11, and continuing until 22.
When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 was released in 2011, Radcliffe said that "10 years was a long time to spend with one character," adding that "in a lot of people's minds, [he] would always be Harry." At the time, he "wasn't concerned" about being typecast, relegated to the role of Potter for posterity. Now, considering the brimming, diverse resume he's built up since HP's final film, it looks like he was correct.
From Broadway plays to cartoon voice-overs to TV, Radcliffe has done it all.
His newest project is Victor Frankenstein, a new rendition of the classic in which he plays the infamous Igor, assistant to Dr. Frankenstein himself. It was during the film's press tour that he made a pitstop to accept his Walk of Fame star.
“It’s really an incredible honor. Only about 20% of people who work in film and television end up on the Walk of Fame," he said of the award. "It’s kind of amazing. I don’t know if they remove these things, but no matter how badly I mess up, they can’t remove it."
