Smash and Waitress star (and American Idol alum) Katharine McPhee is officially engaged to David Foster. The Canadian music mogul popped the big question while the couple enjoyed a European vacation on the island of Capri on Sunday. They've been dating for about a year. The rep confirmed the news to TMZ.

Foster, 68, has been married four times. For McPhee, 34, this will be her second marriage. 

Now you may be asking yourself, who is David Foster? He's a famed Canadian musician, composer, and producer, but may I also recommend you peek at his Wikipedia page to learn all about his family tree. He was previously married to singer/songwriter B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, actress Linda Thompson, and model Yolanda Hadid. That means, at one point, he's been the stepfather to Brody Jenner and Brandon Jenner (their mom is the ex of Bruce Jenner — now Caitlyn Jenner), and Gigi and Bella Hadid. He also has a biological daughter, Sara Foster, who played Jen Clark in the new 90210 series. Oh, and his sister, Jaymes Foster, is the mother of Clay Aiken's son, making him the uncle.
