'Game of Thrones's Hafthor Bjornsson Is Now The World's Strongest Man
The actor, otherwise known as 'The Mountain,' stole the title during the 2018 World's Strongest Man competition.
It's official: Hafthor Bjornsson is the strongest man in the world!
The Game of Thrones actor, who plays Ser Gregor Clegane on the HBO series, tackled the 2018 World's Strongest Man competition in Manila, Philippines over the weekend and confirmed what everyone already knew: no one messes with The Mountain.
After dominating the event's six challenges — not least of which was dragging a 20-ton vehicle — Bjornsson took his rightful place as king of the impossibly buff.
The big win was announced early Sunday morning via the competition's Facebook page.
"Congratulations to Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - The Mountain on taking home his first WSM title," WSM wrote.
According to Maxim, Bjornsson has also won the Europe's Strongest Man competition and the Arnold (Schwarzenegger) Strongman Classic this year.
"THE WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN 2018!" the actor enthused on his own Instagram page. "Want to thank all of my family, friends and fans for supporting me along the way."
We'll tell you this much: No one will be messing with Cersei any time soon.
