Kate Hudson Reveals First Photo Of Newborn Daughter Rani Rose
The actress took to Instagram to share a photo of Rani, who was born October 2.
Welcome to the world, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa!
Not even a week after she gave birth to a baby girl, Kate Hudson made our weekend a little better by sharing a photo of her newborn child.
She took to Instagram to post a sweet photo of the tiny lady sound asleep and snuggled inside a blanket burrito while sporting an adorable bow. The caption read "🌹Our little rosebud🌹".
Now go ahead and let out a little squeal. You know you want to.
In a previous post, the Almost Famous actress shared how she and boyfriend Danny Fujikawa decided on the name of their daughter. She explained that Rani is derived from Danny's dad, whose name was Ron. They named their child after him to honor his memory.
"We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa," Hudson wrote. "Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor."
She thanked everyone for their kind words, and assured fans her family is well and happy. "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be," she said. "Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."
Rani Rose is Hudson's first daughter and third child. She has two sons from previous relationships — 14-year-old Ryder Russell, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and 7-year-old Bingham Hawn, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.
She announced her pregnancy with Rani back in April with a gender reveal video. When they found out Rani was a girl, the entire family jumped with glee.
Congratulations to this growing family! We're so happy for you!
