Viola Davis Posts Sweet Mother-Daughter Pic Before Golden Globes
It's shaping up to be a great evening for the Emmy-winner.
How to Get Away with Murder star Viola Davis made history last year as the first black woman to win the Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama. Now, she's set to have an even bigger 2016, and it starts with Sunday's Golden Globes 2016. With every honor, though, she's sure to include 4-year-old daughter Genesis.
Just before heading out for the ceremony Sunday night, the actress took the time to snap a memorable pic of she and her mini-me, the two both beaming bright.
Davis has an active social presence, generally keeping her beautiful daughter front and center, and it seems like the tyke couldn't be more proud of her mom. For Halloween, Genesis dressed in the superstar's likeness.
50-year-old Davis once again finds herself nominated for Best Actress in a Drama for her performance in her hit ABC show. Fellow contenders include Caitriona Balfre, Eva Green, Taraji P. Henson, and Robin Wright.
Will history repeat itself this year?
