Most people know him as an NBA hall of famer and current basketball commentator, but on New Year's Eve he unleashed a whole new Charles Barkley when he was arrested for driving under the influence.
Not only did he let the world know that he still liked to party it up, but through official police reports he let everyone know he wasn't above running a stop sign while intoxicated for a sexual favor.
According to The Smoking Gun, after being pulled over in Scottsdale, Ariz. the arresting officer reported that when asked where he was going at the time Barkley replied:
'You want the truth? I was gonna drive around the corner and get a blowjob.' A cooperative Barkley also joked with a civilian police employee that, 'I'll tattoo your name on my ass' if it would get him out of the DUI charge." At least he's honest.
Barkley was arrested at 1:26 a.m. on December 31, and after failing a field sobriety test and having blood drawn to establish his alcohol content, was cited for a misdemeanor charge and released at the scene, avoiding a stay in jail.
Barkley's attorney Scott Maasen made an official statement on the matter, saying "Mr. Barkley, who has no prior DUI convictions believes wholeheartedly in the court system and is cooperating fully with the court's process. (He) wishes to thank family, friends and his ardent fans for their tremendous outpouring of support during this difficult time."
