Charles Rogers, Former Lions Player, Nets Jail Time After Passing Out at Restaurant

Charles Rogers, the troubled former Detroit Lions wide receiver, has been sentenced to 93 days in jail, after violating the terms of his parole. The 28-year-old former college star has already served 17 days, for which he's received credit. The rest of his time will be spent in an Oakland-area jail, however.

Charles Rogers will see jail time after his latest run-in with the law. (
Rogers new troubles began when he was found on Tuesday apparently passed out at an On the Border restaurant. When employees could not wake Rogers, police were called. When Rogers was uncooperative, he was arrested.

This is the latest string of legal troubles for Rogers, who was cut from the Lions in 2006. He was arrested in September of 2009, after police found him passed out behind the wheel of his Mercedes. In September of 2008, he was accused of assault and battery against a female friend, and was later ordered to attend alcohol and drug counseling.
