But she has been hired by to become a full-time special correspondent for NBC News.

Yes, the only child of Bill and Hilary Clinton will soon report the news as part of NBC Nightly News -- this according to NBC News president Steve Capus. The New York Times broke the story, while reminding us that it will be Chelsea's first real foray into the public spotlight since her father left office.

Capus hopes for Clinton to provide "really captivating feature assignments for the Making a Difference franchise." Chelsea, meanwhile, could not be reached for comment by the Times, but did leave a public statement.

“I hope telling stories through Making a Difference — as in my academic work and nonprofit work — will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of ‘Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you.’"
