There may be A Wrinkle in Time, but this flick is looking absolutely seamless.

Disney unveiled the first trailer for Ava DuVernay's adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's classic novel during its D23 Expo on Saturday, throwing fans of the breathtaking story into a major tizzy.

DuVernay (Selma) seems to have done the star-studded film justice. One look at the trailer proves it may just be one of Disney's deepest productions yet, brimming with talent, gorgeous effects, and a level of meaning not often achieved in mainstream studios. For the first time this year, scientists offered proof that time travel is indeed mathematically possible, blasting the belief that it's relegated to the world of science fiction.

In the film, young actress Storm Reid plays Meg Murray, the daughter of a genius (Chris Pine) who is kidnapped following his discoveries on time and space travel. Oprah Winfrey stars as Mrs. Which, while Reese Witherspoon is Mrs. Whatsit and Mindy Kaling is Mrs. Who. Zach Galifianakis and Gugu Mbatha-Raw also star.

Pine opens the trailer with an explanation of Dr. Alex Murry's findings, while Reid's Meg can be seen traveling the universe(s) attempting to save him for the majority of the trailer's two minutes.
