Vote: Which 'Into the Woods' Star Most Looks the Part

(Walt Disney Pictures)Due out Christmas day, Into the Woods will slide into the end of Oscar movie season later this year, bringing audiences the holiday gift of A-list stars in over-the-top costumes and makeup. The pictures below are the first we've seen of Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel, and Johnny Depp as the Wolf. But Depp is pretty cagey with this first image, hiding his wolfy mug behind a tree.

From what Stephen Sondheim has said of the adapted version of his popular Broadway musical, the story has remained mostly intact with a few minor tweaks. The newly released images mean we'll probably be seeing a first trailer for the movie any day now. So far all we've had is a teaser that didn't have any of the actors in it.
