With no network and a massively popular Twitter account, Conan O'Brien is taking his show on the road. The former Tonight show host announced Thursday morning that he would be hauling his act across 30 cities through the U.S. and Canada to bring his comedy directly to the fans.

"It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house," he said. The show has been rumored for some time, but its official announcement gives Conan the chance to stay in the public's mind as he works out where his next televised show will be.

Andy Richter and Conan's band will be joining him on the road for what he calls "a night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence."

Since taking back the Tonight show, Jay Leno has sat comfortably at the number one spot in the ratings. Conan is rumored to be in talks with Fox to develop a show to compete with Leno and Letterman. For a full list of Conan's tour dates along with ticket information, visit Ticketmaster.com.
