David Bowie's very first grandchild was born July 10, "exactly six months after his grandad made room for him," Bowie's son Duncan Jones announced on Friday.

Baby boy Stenton David Jones, whose middle name is a tribute to the late legend, is the couple's first child.

Jones shared that he and wife Rodene Ronquillo were expecting in February, tweeting a cartoon and a message on the "circle of life."

"1 month since dad died today," he wrote. "Made this card for him at Christmas. Due in June. Circle of life. Love you, granddad."

Bowie passed at the age of 69 after an 18-month battle with liver cancer. He was reportedly aware his first grandchild was on the way.

Many congratulations to the couple on their new arrival.
