More than two and a half decades after Arnold Schwarzenegger's foray into the land of tiny humans and big guns, a sequel is being developed.

Starring Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren, upcoming Kindergarten Cop 2 will revisit the original story line, following Agent Reed as he goes undercover as a Washington kindergarten teacher in order to recover stolen data. One of the kids in his class holds the key — or USB — to recovering what he needs, and he's tasked with sleuthing the little one out. It's the same old idea with a souped-up, modern day twist.

Universal is sending this one straight to DVD, and we must say, we're slightly skeptical. As great an action star as Lundgren is, it takes a particular kind of actor to portray both the convincing badass and soft-hearted sweetie.

Here's the film's trailer.

Kindergarten Cop 2 releases on DVD and Digital HD on May 17, 2016.
