Bracket Breakdown: Booth and Bones VS. Castle and Beckett
Which crime-fighting romance is really to die for?
It's almost a tale as old as time — two crime-fighters with difference approaches to the law (and to love) falling for each other in between murders...
Our TV Couples March Madness Challenge has delivered a doozy of a showdown in the Sweet 16: Bones' Booth (David Boreanaz) and Bones (Emily Deschanel) versus Castle's Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic). Let's take a closer look at the match-ups.
Bones and Booth
How They Met
In the pilot, we first see them at an airport. Bones was returning from Guatemala when a Homeland Security agent accosted her for carrying a human skull. She took him out (of course), but was soon surrounded by airport security. FBI Special Agent Booth arrived and quickly released Booth. The whole airport fiasco was just a ruse to get her help on a case. (It was revealed later they first met at an university where Bones was giving a lecture.)
Current Relationship Status
Married with a daughter named Christine.
March Madness Secret Weapon
Bones and Booth have been catching bad guys and falling for each other since 2005! A decade of history makes these romantic partners an irresistible force to be reckoned with.
Castle and Beckett
How They Met
Murder brought these two lovebirds together. After a copy-cat killer began taking people out based on murders in Castle's fictional detective series, Detective Beckett, on behalf of the NYPD, brought Castle downtown to interrogate him. The writer ended up helping solve the case and began shadowing Beckett for research on his next novel.
Current Relationship Status

March Madness Secret Weapon
Hey guys, Castle and Beckett's couple name is Caskett — you know, as in the thing they'll send all other couples to who stand in their way. (Wait, that went too dark, didn't it?)
