With raw talent and an exceptional quarterback, the Florida Gators managed to snag the top spot in the final BCS rankings with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma Thursday night.

Still, it wasn't exactly easy going for the Gators, who were 13-1 going into Thursday's BCS championship title game. Quarterback Tim Tebow had a tough first half, his one notable play, a 20-yard touchdown pass to Louis Murphy in the second quarter to start the scoring at 7-0.

The Sooners didn't exactly bring their best game either, though they were able to answer back to Tebow's TD pass with a 65-yard drive by QB Sam Bradford, followed by a 6-yard touchdown toss to Jermaine Gresham.

Tebow managed to throw two interceptions in the game, matching the amount he'd thrown during the regular season. Luckily the Gator defense remained solid, keeping Florida in the game.

With a 17-4 lead and just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Tebow secured the win for Florida, with a 4-yard touchdown pass to David Nelson, bringing the score to 24-14, a deficit the Sooners couldn't return from.

The win secured Tebow's second BCS title and the second for the team in three years. The Associated Press' final college football rankings were released Friday morning, with Florida claiming the No.1 spot. Utah, the only undefeated college team this season snagged second place, while USC rounded out the top three. Oklahoma fell to No. 5.
