There are plenty of great bands and artists that will take the stage when Bonnaroo 2014 goes down on the Tennessee farmland in June. If you're still struggling to figure out who in the festival's diverse lineup you want to catch — fear not. Below, enjoy our quick and easy guide to acts you definitely don't want to miss.
Lauryn Hill
A stint in jail last Spring for tax evasion isn't stopping the singer from performing classics from the now 15-year-old Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Let's just hope her show goes down without a hitch.
Jack White
The former White Stripes frontman will take the stage only days after the release of his sophomore album Lazaretto. Fans are most likely going to hear offerings from the new album including the rap-inspired "Lazaretto" and the instrumental track "High Ball Stepper."
Kanye West
Fans of intricate masks, leather jogging pants, and high production won't want to miss Kanye West and his egotistical rants. The rapper also got hitched to his beloved K-Kim, so Sad Kanye probably won't be around.
Banks
Los Angeles-based R&B singer Banks has been getting plenty of attention lately thanks to brooding tracks like "Waiting Game" and "Brain." With the announcement of September release of her full-length debut album Goddess, you can expect she'll be trying to impress.
Sam Smith
In May, the celebrated British singer-songwriter announced plans for an extensive North American tour in support of his highly-anticipated debut album In the Lonely Hour. Of course, his 15-city jaunt includes festival stops at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits. When the smooth crooner takes the stage, expect that things will get emotional.
Arctic Monkeys
Fresh off their Best Album win at the 2014 Brit Awards, the Sheffield-based Arctic Monkeys are ready to showcase their infectious brand of indie garage rock. If their sound is not your cup of tea, at least see them live to marvel at Alex Turner's gravity-defying greaser hair.
Elton John
If you would like to see a living legend do their thing, then the electric-boot wearing Elton John is a must.
Frank Ocean
There has been plenty of rumors lately regarding the soulful singer's follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut album Channel Orange. If you're lucky, Bonnaroo could be a testing ground for some new music.
Classixx
LA-based DJ duo, Michael David and Tyler Blake, bring some funky beats to their dance-ready tunes.
Asgeir
Among Iceland's many musical talents, Asgeir stands out for his creative electronic-folk-pop sound. He also broke many records with the release of his debut album In The Silence, so expect the buzz around this artist to be strong.
