This is not your grandmother's Knights of the Round Table.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first photos of Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur in the upcoming Guy Ritchie-directed film Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur. The photos feature the Sons of Anarchy alum looking all dirty hot with his beloved Excalibur — basically like Jax Teller with a sword. Not that we're complaining. Jax Teller with a sword is perrrrrrfectly all right in our book.

"He's a little bit rough around the edges, but he's basically a survivor," Hunnam reveals of his version of King Arthur. "He's a hustler. He's a street kid. There's definitely a harder edge to him than people would imagine."

Ritchie elaborated on how this new take on King Arthur will differ from other versions. “I think where the pitfall has often been is trying to make King Arthur bland and nice, and nice and bland,” he says. “The two qualities make rather compatible bed companions. Unfortunately, they’re not interesting to watch. Luke Skywalker was always the most uninteresting character in Star Wars because he’s the good guy. Good guys are boring.”

You know what's not boring? These sexy photos. Nope, not boring at all. You can see a few more photos of Hunnam on the set of King Arthur below, then head over to EW.com for even more snaps.
