Sarah Paulson Wins TCA Award for 'People v. O.J. Simpson,' Celebrates With Girlfriend Holland Taylor

Paulson played the show's Marcia Clark and 'American Horror Story's' Hypodermic Sally at the same time over a course of months.

Sarah Paulson went home with the 2016 Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Drama on Saturday night thanks to her role in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. The show, created by AHS mastermind Ryan Murphy, also won the coveted title of Program of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials.

It was a big night for Murphy and ACS, but our favorite thing about the '16 TCA Awards was the appearance of Hollson, AKA Paulson and girlfriend Holland Taylor.

More on that later.

Other contenders in the category were her American Crime Story co-star Courtney B. Vance, All The Way's Bryan Cranston, Mr. Robot's Rami Malek, Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk, and Keri Russell of The Americans.

Of playing Hypodermic Sally McKenna, Paulson told Glamour,

"That was really one of the more freeing [roles]. I was doing Marcia Clark and Sally at the same time. I mean truly at the same time — sometimes on the same day. It was very taxing on me mentally, but having played the conjoined twins the season before, I was sort of used to finding a way to divide my focus and my attention. The reason I was able to play Sally was that she just literally didn't give a f--k about anything. A person who has no investment in anything is the polar opposite of Marcia."

We love Paulson and Holland— whose relationship went public back in December — not just because they're one badass couple, but for their very public appreciation for sweets and snacks.

Their incredible support for one another's careers isn't too bad either. Take, for example, the fact that Holland has in her possession a Hypodermic Sally Funko Pop figure.

Paulson is currently hard at work on American Horror Story season 6, which remains infuriatingly ambiguous. She did, however, tell Glamour her role is "like nothing I've ever played."
