Twas a great week for trailers thanks mainly to Deadpool, the highly-anticipated first R-rated Marvel movie starring Ryan Reynolds as the masked hero. But be careful, the violence is heavy. Not a comic book fan? No worries, we've also got the new trailer for By the Sea starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as a husband and wife dealing with marriage troubles in 1970s France. Still not impressed? How about Everest? Jason Clarke and Jake Gyllenhaal's new action adventure on the world's highest mountain is sure to cause some white knuckles in theaters around the country. Stonewall

Starring: Jeremy Irvine, Ron Perlman, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Joey King, Caleb Landry Jones, Matt Craven, Atticus Mitchell, Mark Camacho

Official synopsis from Roadside Attractions: STONEWALL is a drama about a fictional young man caught up during the 1969 Stonewall riots. Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine) is forced to leave behind friends and loved ones when he is kicked out of his parent’s home and flees to New York. Alone in Greenwich Village, homeless and destitute, he befriends a group of street kids who soon introduce him to the local watering hole The Stonewall Inn; however, this shady, mafia-run club is far from a safe-haven. As Danny and his friends experience discrimination, endure atrocities and are repeatedly harassed by the police, we see a rage begin to build. This emotion runs through Danny and the entire community of young gays, lesbians and drag queens who populate the Stonewall Inn and erupts in a storm of anger. With the toss of a single brick, a riot ensues and a crusade for equality is born.

Deadpool

Fathers and Daughters

As the narrative weaves back and forth between the 1980s, and present day, we come to learn how 30-year-old Katie (Amanda Seyfried) battles the demons that stemmed from her troubled childhood and simultaneously watch how Jake fights to hold on to the thing he loves most – his daughter, at the cost of his fortune, sanity, and ultimately even his own life.

As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Laurent) and François (Poupaud), and village locals Michel (Arestrup) and Patrice (Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
