Hot on the heels of Fox's comedy and drama pick-ups, NBC has announced that it has given the green light to four comedies and two dramas for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.

On the comedy side, the Peacock network will welcome a TV adaptation of Hugh Grant's 2002 film About a Boy, along with sitcoms from Michael J. Fox and Sean Hayes. NBC has also ordered a J.J. Abrams drama about an unlikely relationship between a young girl and an ex-con, along with a political thriller starring Gillian Anderson.
