Jamie Lynn Spears and fiancé Casey Aldridge welcomed a baby girl, Maddie Briann , Friday morning at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.Spears, 17, and Aldridge, 19, ignited a controversy when they announced their pregnancy in December of last year. Debate erupted over whether the youngest of the Spears sisters was ready to have a child, and the example that it set for young fans of her Nickelodeon TV series Zoey 101.
Still, Spears continued with the pregnancy, eventually becoming engaged to boyfriend Aldridge, purchasing a home with him and doing some serious nesting. Their newborn daughter's nursery is rumored to be pink, brown and metallic-green, and all settled for the arrival of their baby.
Spears plans to remain in Kentwood, Louisiana, for now, to be closer to her mother. Aldridge is a pipe layer and the two plan to tie the night now that the baby is born.
The whole family was on hand for the birth of the new littlest Spears, with parents Jamie and Lynne arriving at the hospital at 5:45 a.m., 45 minutes after the Spears and Aldridge. Big sis Britney and older brother Bryan arrive around 8 a.m.
