Viola Davis Says Jared Leto's 'Henchman' Gave Her a Dead Pig

And that was her introduction to the Joker on the set of 'Suicide Squad.'

We've already heard just how much Jared Leto got into his character on the set of Suicide Squad, but according to Viola Davis, things went even farther than we realized. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Davis revealed that her introduction to Leto on the set of the movie came in the form of a dead pig.

"He did some bad things, Jared Leto did," she said. "He gave some really horrific gifts. He had a henchman who would come into the rehearsal room, and the henchman came in with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, and then he walked out. And that was our introduction to Jared Leto.

"Now I’m terrified as a person, thinking, 'Is he crazy?' But the second part of that was, 'Oh shit I gotta have my stuff together!' You talk about commitment. Then he sends Margot Robbie a black rat — it was still alive — in a box. And then she kept it." [Laughs]

Jared Leto, ladies and gentlemen — hilarious, generous, and good with animals.
