'Veronica Mars' Movie Adds Jerry O'Connell

Neptune has a brand new sheriff.

Jerry O'Connell has been cast as Sheriff Lamb in the upcoming Veronica Mars movie — but don't worry, Michael Muhney's dearly departed Don Lamb (the character died during Season 3 from a head wound) won't be coming back from the dead or anything.

Instead, O'Connell will be playing Dan Lamb, “a new Lamb brother I hope you love to hate,” creator Rob Thomas wrote in an email to the film’s Kickstarter contributors.

O'Connell joins the jam-packed cast of the Veronica Mars movie, which currently includes series stars Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, and Max Greenfield.
