Reese Witherspoon has been all over the news since her arrest on April 19 and now the whole ordeal is one step closer to being behind her. She pled no contest to disorderly conduct charges and her husband, Jim Toth, pled guilty to DUI.
The star was not in the Atlanta court this afternoon, instead her lawyer entered the plea for her. After telling the arresting officer things like "Do you know my name?" and making up that she was pregnant, she got slapped with a $213 fine today. That's all.
As for her hubby, he was in court today and will have to do 40 hours of community service and attend an alcohol education class. He's going to be on probation for 12 months but won't face any jail time.
The judge told Toth in court: "Consider yourself fortunate you didn't injure your passenger [Reese] and didn't kill anyone."
The court appearance came just hours after Witherspoon was on Good Morning America owning up to her mistakes. During the interview she said she took full responsibility for her actions and called her behavior "unacceptable."
