John Goodman showed off his weight loss while walking the red carpet at the American Film Institute last night. The actor appears to have shed a significant amount of weight in the past few months.

Goodman, who first came to fame on the sitcom Roseanne, has starred in such classic movies as Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski, and O Brother, Where At Thou? He can currently be seen on the HBO drama Treme.

His publicist, speaking to USA Today, seemed to confirm that Goodman has lost the weight without surgery, saying the slimming down was due to "diet and exercise."
