So really, it's no surprise to see him land at the No. 12 spot on AskMen's Top 49 Most Influential Men list this year.

Last year, the king of Comedy Central came in at the top spot on the website's list. This year, he can't claim the crown. But as he continues to thrive as the most visible voice of the left, Stewart will forever hold a place in the hearts of liberals across the globe.

AskMen's 2011 list of the Top 49 Most Influential Men showcases a diverse range of individuals from all walks of life. From tech visionaries to road cyclists, this year's list was based on more than 200,000 reader votes, as well as intense deliberation among the website's editorial staff.
