But what's he playing?

Academy Award-winner Jon Voight has been added to the growing cast of upcoming Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Though we have no information as of yet on the nature of the 76-year-old's character, Voight will join the film's present production in England.

In the film, Eddie Redmayne plays main protagonist Newt Scamander, author of Fantastic Beasts, the book that would grow to serve as a one-stop guide for the mythical creatures of the HP world even decades later.

Redmayne is joined by actors Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, and Dan Fogler, seen below.

Harry Potter fans can rest assured that the film will be true to its source; the screenplay was written by J.K. Rowling herself.

As amazing as the creatures of HP looked back in 2011 (when the last film was released) we're confident that 2016 will do the dragons, centaur, and merpeople of HP justice.

Big props to Jurassic World for paving the way.
