(Getty Images)Justin Timberlake is having a week of highs and lows. Though his new online gambling flick Runner Runner was a critical and commercial disappointment (it holds an 8% "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes), his album
The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 had a strong showing on the charts, nabbing the top spot with 350,000 units sold in its first week.
While 350,000 is significantly lower than the 968,000 copies that the first
20/20 Experience sold earlier this year, it's still quite an accomplishment considering the album did not produce any major radio hits ("TKO" has failed to pack a punch on the airwaves). Timberlake is the first artist to sell 2 number one albums in 2013;
Billboard reports that only 20 acts have scored two No. 1s in a 12 month span since May 1991, the last being System of a Down in 2005.
In the United Kingdom, Timberlake had a second place finish, selling just 2,100 fewer copies than Los Angeles sister trio HAIM. In the States, HAIM's debut
Days Are Gone came in at No. 6 with 26,000 copies sold.
