(Getty Images | PacificCoastNews) People might think of Pete Doherty as a relatively reckless dude, what with his multiple drug arrests and incarcerations, but the guy already has a reliable investment plan mapped out for his future.
The ex-Libertines frontman opened up about his latest money-making scheme to NME this month, explaining that already has a treasure trove — he just needs the buyers.
"I've got [cigarette] butts that belong to Bobby Gillespie, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse, and I've got Christmas paper that [former Coventry City goalkeeper] Steve Ogrizovic sent to the guy from Black Sabbath. All kinds of s**t basically," Doherty boasted. Yep: Doherty has saved his friends' and lovers' discarded cigarettes, and he thinks he can make money off of them.
It's entirely possible that Doherty was just kidding — or that he's a public relations genius who learned everything he knows from Courtney Love. Either way, there are probably actually people out there who would pay for these items. And that is why everyone loses.
