'Best Witches' From The Cast Of 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' To The 'Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina' Crew

It's a new era for Sabrina Spellman, and Melissa Joan Hart wishes her successor good luck.

The original stars of Sabrina the Teenage Witch took to Twitter this week to cheer on the cast of the new series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was released on October 26.

In the video below, Melissa Joan Hart (who played Sabrina Spellman), Caroline Rhea (Hilda), Beth Broderick (Zelda), and Nate Richert (Harvey) wished the new cast "best witches" for the show and the new era of the Spellmans.

In the video, Hart sends her "best witches" to Kiernan Shipka — aka the new Sabrina Spellman — and tells her "from one Sabrina to another, if you're ever given a choice between a broom and a vacuum... chose the vacuum."

Meanwhile, Richert acknowledges the dark and "pretty damn twisted" new chapter for the Spellman witch. He tells his successor, Ross Lynch, "I'm rooting for you buddy. Stay alive!" Pretty good advice when there's dangerous witchcraft involved, I'd say.

Rhea sends her best to Lucy Davis, aunt Hilda 2.0, and jokes that she now gets to be Etta Candy — a reference to Davis' role as Steve Trevor's secretary in 2017's Wonder Woman.

Finally, Broderick sends her "best witches" to Miranda Otto, the new Zelda Spellman.

The group comes together in the end to exclaim, "From our coven to yours, best witches."

It's endearing to see a cast come together in support of a reboot. For example, though the differences between Sabrina and Charmed are vast, there's no support from the original show's members because of how poorly it was handled.

After watching the entire 10-episode season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I can assure you there's a long list of differences between the Netflix show and the '90s series. Netflix's version stands alone.

Unlike many reimaginations, it doesn't feel like a reboot. The characters' names are pretty much the only similarity. Their personalities could not be more different, even that of Sabrina.

As expected, there were some OG fans who were concerned about the retelling of Sabrina's story.

Rest assured, the show works. Clearly, the original cast is just as excited as the new cast and it's great to see the legacy of Sabrina, Hilda, and Zelda Spellman continue into the new generation. Watch and see for yourself!
