A giant crash in front of the grandstand at the end of a NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway Saturday left many cars in pieces, with wreckage even reaching the stands.

While it's unclear exactly how the whole thing happened, what is known is that it was a complete mess out there on the track. Racer Kyle Larson's car's engine ended up on fire far from his vehicle, and many other drivers were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Luckily, all of them were treated and released.

However, drivers were worried about folks in the stands and were concerned about safety precations during races. Carl Edwards said after today's crash: "NASCAR just puts us in this box, and we'll race like this until we kill somebody, and then they'll change it. I'm glad the car didn't go up in the grandstands. I don't know if I could live with myself if I ended up in the grandstands."

Larson said about his wreckage: "I took a couple of big hits there and saw my engine was gone," Larson said.

So far, no word about any injuries in the stands.
