A new trailer and poster for M. Night Shyamalan's latest, After Earth, was released by Sony Pictures yesterday. The trailer is especially noteworthy as it gives the first real glimpse at Will and Jaden Smith's relationship in the film (they're father and son for the second time on the big screen). Set 1000 years in the future, Earth is a cataclysmic wilderness of rapidly changing extreme weather systems and frighteningly evolved carnivores. Humans have long since left, but, obviously, Will and Jaden somehow crash land and must face all these insane dangers in order to survive. Luckily they have some sweet wing suits and double-bladed Darth Maul swords to help their cause.
