Charlize Theron, 'Monster'
Charlize Theron went all out in her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos, gaining 30 pounds and tolerating massive eyebrow plucking, greasy hair, and nasty prosthetic teeth. Theron explains, "It was about getting to a place where I felt closer to how Aileen was living." It worked, Theron won the Best Actress Oscar for Monster in 2003.
