Tour de France Stage 5: Mark Cavendish Wins Sprint Finish, Simon Gerrans Stays in Yellow

Mark Cavendish Wins Stage 18 of Le Tour

Mark Cavendish won Stage 18 of the Tour de France in a time of 04:37:09.  Julian Dean, Alessandro Petacchi and Robbie McEwen were all right on his wheel.The overall standings remain unchanged, with Alberto Contador in yellow.  Andy Schleck remains only 8 seconds behind, and is still wearing the white jersey.  Samuel Sanchez and Denis Menchov continue to duke it out for third.  Stage 18 took riders from Salies-de-Bearn to Bordeaux.  The Tour official ends on july 25th.
