She's been nominated for the 2011 Oscar, Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Fighter. Leo won the Golden Globe award for the performance as a struggling, loving, conflicted mother of a professional boxer played by Mark Wahlberg.

It's a tricky recognition to earn because at the Golden Globes Leo beat out, among many other talented actresses, Amy Adams, with whom she co-starred in the film. We'll see if she sweeps the Oscars red carpet arrivals away as well.

The 2011 Oscars will be held on February 27, 2011 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be co-hosting the ceremony. It will be the first time hosting for both of the stars. The ceremony, now in its 83rd year, will be shown on ABC at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT.
