The "back to the audience" movie poster trend continues with the new one sheet for Fantastic Four. 20th Century Fox decided to retread old ground with the design and keep things safe. Sure, it's cool to see the assorted powers of (three of) the Four glowing in the darkness of the scene, but is this really the best Fox could do?

Director Josh Trank's (Chronicle) new version is supposed to be darker than the laughable 2005 installment, but the early trailers, and now this poster, aren't doing much to make us believe. We've seen this brand of lazy marketing before (not that it predicts a bad movie alone):
