Miley Cyrus Says She's 'Pansexual' and 'Not in a Relationship'
The star dishes about her current romantic status.
In an interview with Elle UK, Miley Cyrus spoke about using her popularity and celebrity status to create a more tolerant and positive change in the world. She explained that her charity, The Happy Hippie Foundation, was created to further this goal.
“I was kind of embarrassed that I got paid money to shake my ass in a teddy bear costume,” she said in the October issue of Elle UK. “I should not be worth the amount I am while people live on the streets.”
Cyrus also discussed her ideas on gender, sexuality, and relationships. When asked to comment on her relationship with Stella Maxwell, the Victoria's Secret Angel she's rumored to be dating, Cyrus wouldn't say whether Maxwell is her “girlfriend.”
“I'm very open about it—I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship. I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with,” she responded.
Maxwell was introduced to Cyrus through their mutual friend, Cheyene Thomas. Last July, Cyrus and Maxwell were seen kissing in a Los Angeles parking lot. Still, the pop star insists on not defining her relationship with the model and openly explained her views about gender identity.
“I don't relate to what people have made men and women into. I know I'm more extreme and badass than most guys, but that doesn't make me a boy. And the other night I wore a pink dress because I felt cute. I can bake a cupcake and then go play hockey,” Cyrus added.
