The Yankee tried to keep his engagegment under wraps, at least for a while longer, by the NY Post broke the story this weekend. Jeter has been dating Minka Kelly for some time now and their engagement is no surprise to friends and fans.

This date cuts things close for the Yankee, since if there should be a game 7 of the 2010 World Series, and should the Yankees be in that game, Mr Jeter would have a serious conflict.
Minka Kelly was born on June 24th, 1980, making her 29 years old. She is an American actress who stars in the NBC hit TV series Friday Night Lights as Lyla Garrity.
