Miss Colombia walked away with the crown Sunday night.
Here she is, the new Miss Universe! Paulina Vega, Miss Colombia, was crowned Sunday night, after beating out 87 other women for the honor. It was an awesome belated birthday present for Vega, who turned 22nd birthday on January 15.
Now that the dust glitter has settled, here's what you need to know about the pageant beauty:

She's not the only pageant queen in the family.
Vega's grandmother Elvira Castillo was Miss Atlántico 1953.

She's been modeling since the age of 8.
The beauty queen is no stranger to the spotlight, though she'd never been in a pageant before the string of them leading to this year's Miss Universe. She plans on leaving the pageant world behind after this, though, so she can continue with her business studies.

She's a student.
Vega is studying business administration at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota. Before that, she graduated form a German school in Colombia.

She has a huge family.
This pageant queen has seven brothers and sisters. “Every birthday, ever dinner, every meal, every event is like a big party and very funny,” she says.

She's practically perfect.
According to her Miss Universe bio, she earned “the highest score possible in every presentation, 9.9" in the Miss Colombia pageant.
