The math is simple. For many actors who portray Marvel superheroes, Avengers: Infinity War is the final film they have on contract. That means, it's possible that one of their characters could die in the highly anticipated finale of the franchise. We're talking Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)

Johansson will be appearing in a stand-alone Black Widow movie, so it's most likely not going to be her who meets her fate. Sadly, it doesn't look so good for the others. If you ask the internet, fans seem to think Captain America will somehow kick the bucket:

Now, let's look at the facts. When Evans first teamed up with Marvel, he signed on for three Captain America movies, as well as three Avengers films. He's already appeared three times as Steve Rogers in 2011, 2014, and 2016, and he joined the Avengers in 2012, 2015, and, now,  2018. At this point you might be thinking, that's it, he's out. But, maybe not...

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Chris Evans explained his motivation behind extending his contract with Marvel: "I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in — Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man — and couldn't get them all into one movie. [I agreed] because it made sense. It's going to wrap everything up."

Still, Avengers: Infinity War could potentially claim the lives of a beloved superhero. I mean, have you not seen the trailer? Look at all the terrifying situations they're finding themselves in in the trailer: Thor's skull looks like it could get crushed by Thanos, Iron Man is attacked by aliens, and Doctor Strange gets tortured by needles.

Sadly, there won't be a definite answer to the "Who Dies?" question until the movie hits theaters next month (April 27).
