But these two remain a highly dramatic pair, and recent items on Rihanna's Twitter feed indicate they've got a long way to go to reach happily ever after.
Neither Rihanna or Brown has even confirmed their relationship, but it's not hard for bystanders to read between the lines when Rihanna posts shots of herself straddling her once abusive ex in a pair of white hot pants. It's also not hard to tell she's peeved at Brown when she Instagrams the words "examine what you tolerate," shared with the caption "U give, then u get, then u give it the f**k back" amidst reports of his reconciliation with aspiring model Karrueche Tran in Paris.Yep: Brown's other ex-girlfriend still seems to be in the picture. He's still on good terms with her — friendly enough to help promote her burgeoning clothing line The Kill, anyway. So-called "Chrianna" fans recently expressed their outrage over Brown's decision to snap his "Kill" baseball cap, taking it as an admission of loyalty to Tran. Tran herself seemed to hint at some shady business herself, tweeting Monday, "Doesn't lying get tiring after a while?"
All this over a man who can fit three blunts in his mouth and tweets about pooping in his female detractors' eyes. It's a weird world we live in.
In other news, Rihanna is sounding better than she ever has before, despite all the drama. She seems to be plumbing new emotional depths with recent live performances of her mournful ballad "Stay," most recently on the UK's X Factor.
