Adele Broke Her Grammy in Half & Dedicated Album of the Year Win to Beyonce

After winning the coveted Album of the Year Grammy for her album, 25, Adele gave an emotionally charged speech and dedicated the award to her idol, Beyonce. The British singer was visibly shaken and kept repeating how she couldn't possibly accept the award since it should have gone to Queen Bey.
"I can’t possibly accept this award," explained Adele during her acceptance speech. "And I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but the artist of my life is Beyoncé, and the album to me, the Lemonade album, Beyoncé, was so monumental, and so well thought out. And so beautiful and soul bearing and we all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that.
"And all us artists adore you," Adele continued. "You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will."
Of course, Adele's beautiful words brought Queen Bey to tears.
Then Adele went one step further after the cameras stopped rolling and broke her Grammy in half. Some speculated it was a gesture in honor of her idol.
Backstage, Adele elaborated on why she thought Beyonce should have won in the first place.
"A piece of me died inside," she said. "I felt like it was her time to win. What the f*uck does she have to do to win Album of the Year?"
