Nick Lachey (FameFlynet Pictures) Nick Lachey should be all smiles with the new news that he and wife Vanessa Minnello are pregnant with their first child, but he is all Mr. Scowl-y Face as he catches sight of a slew of photographers on his walk to Central Park. Nick Lachey visited Live! With Kelly today to announce the good news that he is expecting his first child with wife Vanessa Minnillo.
"She was in New York and I was in the Bahamas," Lachey told Kelly Ripa. "She went to the store and got a pregnancy test and it came back positive. We're having a baby!"
Lachey was ecstatic about the news and he wasn't shy in sharing his feelings about impending fatherhood. "This is the one thing that more than any other I've looked forward to, and it's overwhelming," Lachey gushed. He even dished on some potential names: "If it's a girl, I think it might be Sophia. If it's a boy, I'm not sure."
According to sources, Vanessa is about three months along and is due sometime in the late summer or early fall. Minnillo and Lachey were married over the summer in the Bristish Virgin Islands. This will be the first child for both.
