Ocean Saratoga Leaking, But Has Been for a While

Fears were raised today of a second oil spill in the beleagured Gulf Coast today, as many reported that an offshore oil well, Ocean Saratoga, was also leaking oil.

While an oil sheen has appeared on the surface, however, the owners of Ocean Satatoga say there's no new spill, and the sheen is actually a result of the problem being fixed.

The rig was damaged during Hurricane Ivan in 2004, and Taylor Energy has been working to fix it since then. They say pictures taken this weekend only showed the effects of a scheduled draining of three containment domes over the wrecked oil rig.
