When it comes to the acting Oscars, there can be only one winner per category (obviously), which leaves two very clear levels of disappointment: being nominated and losing and not being nominated at all. But there is another level worse than those, one of regret combined with crushing disappointment. This goes out to the actors who passed on the roles that eventually earned the Oscar.
