While White is expected to make a full recovery, the NFL and its player's union have begun to pay greater attention to player safety in recent months. "The majority of players are still wearing helmets designed in the '90s," writes NFL spokesman Greg Aiello in an email to the AP. "That's a key reason we wanted to initiate more research on helmets."
