Larry King is saying goodbye to his talk show (Pacific Coast News)Larry King is giving up on the talk show he's done since 1985, and execs may have found a new famous face to take his place. Radar Online reports that America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan is being lined up to host his own show. According to Radar, Piers has been in talks with CNN for weeks, and they may have come to a $10 million agreement.
A source said, "CNN has made it clear to Piers that he is the network's first choice to replace Larry. He is very, very close to agreeing to terms."
If it goes through, the deal will likely mean that you won't be seeing Morgan on America's Got Talent for much longer. But since that show wraps in September, the timing is perfect.
CNN hasn't commented on a replacement for King, except to say that they'll be announcing their plans for his slot in the coming weeks.
